I just wanted to share my first LAANC experience for those that interested.
Although Airmap claims to have LAANC authorization capabilities, I have not been able to find how to do it (easily). However, I did try Skyward.io and was able to so do with not too many issues.
Notes:
* You can create a free account that limits you to 50 flights.
* In your profile you can list your aircraft, etc.
* For each flight, you can easily draw your path various ways and shapes.
* It will then show you exactly which areas you need authorization for and the altitude limits for each.
* Once you click through and read a short agreement, it comes back automatically with an authorization that you print.
It was fairly simple and much easier than I anticipated.
