Today I'm going to show you how to clean ND filters (my way).
What you need...
• Windex
• 1 or 2 small bowls or containers
• Tweezers
• Cotton tipped applicators
• Lens cloth
1] Pour a little windex in the bottom of one of the containers.
2] Use the tweezers to dip the ND filter into the windex and put the ND filter in the other container facing up.
3] Use a cotton tipped applicator to scrub the ND filter in a circular motion.
4] Whipe the windex and dirt of the ND filter using the lens cloth.
Now your done!
Have you ever been putting on a filter and you get fingerprints or smudges on them? Have you ever went to put one on and find scratches on them? This is one thing that I find really frustrating! Well I have a solution. Take a pice scotch tape (preferably the clear stuff) and put it on the lens and then take it off. It seems to grab the smudges, fingerprints etc. This works well for a quick clean on site. I also keep tape on them when not in use to keep them from getting scratches, smudges or fingerprints. Then when I put the filter on I can take the tape off. This way I don't have to worry about getting fingerprints on them while trying to put them on.

Thanks for taking the time to read and as always, happy and safe flying!
EDIT: If you have it, medical alcohol works better than Windex.
