Help, dji goggles

Hello, I just bought a DJI goggles, I updated everything to the latest firmware, but when I connect them via HDMI to the goggles and an Ipad 6th gen my screen goes black.. On the ipad..and it says disconnected.. I did turn on on DJI go app the HDMI output..
Any ideas?
I can connect them via the Micro usb and i can see everything on goggles..

Yes I connected to the drone, I can see it and control it if i don't hook up the goggles

I know it was obvious and a stupid question to ask but thought I'd check.

Ok, looks like i found the problem, I connected my goggles through the USB connection & selected smooth mode, Then switched back to HDMI & it started working, pretty choppy though, so i connected USB again & switched to Normal mode, then back to HDMI & everything looks pretty good
