Gimbal Disconnected???

regarding my DJI Phantom 3 Standard:

haven't flown in awhile, about a year. all charged up all ready to go...drone does not turn on.
battery charged and inserted. controller charged and is on, wifi connection ok.
DJIGO on my smartphone says: in aircraft status, GIMBLE STATUS: "Gimbal disconnected".

the camera seems connected ok, swings freely. what does that mean, better yet, how do I make message go away...fix the problem.
please any suggestions

so many times someone posted the same thing so we know right away the issue. people forget how after a while. maybe for u also?
The procedure is press button on battery once, release, then press + hold until it turns on.

I wonder how many lights he's getting on the battery on a power test.

It's wild also, his name backwards is Tom O'Connor.
