Front lens scratched, is it a protective cover?

I just realized that there is ascratch on the lens of my p3P. Is the front glass of the P3P a protective cover or is it part of the optical lens?

It is a "protective cover" in the form of a UV filter. and can be replaced or another type of filter glass be substituted.

If you haven't ordered any or not using ND filters, you might look into that. You will need ND filters for filming in sunny or bright conditions-- they would actually replace the UV filter you have on the stock Phantom. There are several options available. Check Phantomhelp.com
