Firmware upgrade failure - bricked P4P+

Thanks DJI for the latest round of ransomware.

Now the aircraft (P4P+) fails to upgrade via Assistant, and it also fails to upgrade via DJI Go 4.

The upgrade appears to start, the firmware is downloaded and "transmitted" to the P4P+ but the upgrade process hangs somewhere between 7% and 24% completed when "updating". Any suggestions on how to load this f/w or at least debug the process?

Furthermore the aircraft is reporting "Aircraft Encoder Error(0X20)"

The camera video stream shows "not connected" but all other controls appear to be functional.

Searching this and other forums has not uncovered a cause or solution yet.

Contact DJI... You are still under warranty. You drone needs repair. If the firmware is corrupted. Only a repair or replacement can be done.

Correct. I had the same issue and they can flash the firmware right into the bird
