DJI vs Flight mode patent troll

I guess it had to happen sooner or later. Drone patent trolls. DJI and Parrot were served papers last Friday (17th March) by Texas-based Patent people.

They are using 2008 claims for the invention of Intelligent flight modes (or whatever you choose to call them)

Let's hope DJI have the clout to shut them down and to stop others even trying!

It doesn't seem to be anything revolutionary. Please correct me if I am wrong.

No and as I say in the article, I am pretty sure it pre-existed 2008 when the claim was made.

Thank you for clarifying- I'm with you- innovation is what we want. Should the suggestion have been DJI should be immune to any form of challenge or have a monopoly on tech ownership my view would be different.
