Carbon gimbal guard causing interference

Has anybody got a carbon gimbal guard and noticed that their video is really glitchy and disconnects a lot?

A mate and I were having these issues and had been trying to figure out why for a couple of months until one day I took my gimbal guard off to see if it would make any difference and it made a big difference, suddenly I was able to at least double the distance with no video issues, my mate did the same to his with the same good results.

Is it just a coincidence or can a carbon gimbal guard cause interference?

I have a carbon fiber gimbal guard, 2000+ meters, no problems.

l definitely didn't see a decrease in wifi or range after installing mine

Ok, that's interesting, cause we were only getting about 2km before we got glitching and disconnects, now without the gimbal guard we can both get over 4km easy without a glitch at all, and that was tested at the same location in the exact same direction.

Just installed mine and got all.kinds of data disconnects. It's the only difference. Disconnected for 45 seconds...
