Can you buy the controller and drone separate?

Looking at buying a used Phantom. Can you do this or do you need the original remote? The GL358WA remote?
 
You can link any GL358wA remote controller to any Phantom 3 Standard. Just follow these instructions:

As above ... just make sure you get the correct Controller for the model.
