Battery software

[Fly With Me]

I have a P4P and a P4P v2. I have 7 batteries that are all in good condition. It seems that when I switch back and forth between the two AC DJI Go4 wants to check and upload firmware. It seems to go to the battery because I keep seeing the battery lights blink. My question is, if I use the batteries interchangeably, does the constant firmware refreshing hurt the battery?

No damage other than possibly adding an additional charge cycle. Wish there was a better way.

How is the firmware on a battery updated? It may be obvious from the above, though I am new to this.
