Been away from the forum for a while, but when I looked up my battery order on B&H (due to pre-mature death), I noted that the old part has been discontinued and new part in its place. When did this happen, and what is the difference between the old and new batteries?

It's not uncommon for DJI to release new battery models throughout the lifespan of a Phantom model. While they never document these changes anywhere, they always appear to be cosmetic changes. For example, sometimes the LEDs appear to be lighter/darker or there is different text on the outside of the battery.
