Anyone using Darktable for raw stills?

I decided to go raw when I do stills and looking for a good raw converter/image processor. Of course there is Lightroom, but are there any good alternatives?

Photoshop and Luminar are my favourites. But there are lots to choose from, many are free.

I know, there are dozens of raw converters, but they are not "equally made", some process noise, details and colors better some worse.

raw therape, (note spelling), free, does a nice job. Mainly for me LR or Capture one. Capture One IMO has better noise control than LR, but it doesn't see the built in lens profile so only works on certain images.

The open sauce converters (Darktable, Rawtherapee) apparently use the Lensfun database, which doesn't include the P4P lens even in its latest, development version.

OTOH the DxO Optics Module is available, Photolab should correct lens distortions properly.
