Hit a tree limb and the whole thing crashed onto concrete 15feet down. The camera and gimbal separated from the body of the drone. The grey ribbon cable and antenna wires were pulled out fairly cleanly and I was able to piece everything back together with a lot of help from this forum and smart youtubers.
After some nervous hours (especially nervous because the drone belongs to my school) I got everything back together. Switched on drone, remote and dji go app. The camera is on and connected to the app, the drone flies normally, but the gimbal has a flashing red light on it and is trying hard to twist way back and to the left making a buzzing sound.
I thought I might have pinched the ribbon cable when sliding the individual wires back into the connector. Is the ribbon just for the camera, or might it be the culprit with crazy gimbal? Either way, I've ordered a new ribbon (amazon.com $12)
Wondering how much I should mess with it before I send it in to DJI?
