Thanks for the reply. Yes my computer accepts 4K and I have a 128Gb card in the machine.I have set up my P4P to film in 4K but when I put the card in my computer to edit it shows as 720.
Does your computer ( Or whatever editor you are using) support 4k? If not 720p may be a default.
Also I only get about 5,5 mins per clip and then filming stops.
4k files are astronomically huge. What size card are you using?
I know we're talking P4P here and I'm no expert, but is that actually correct?1 hour of 4k footage is roughly 300GB of data. Divide that by 60 and you get roughly 5GB per min of footage. For a 32GB card that would basically fill the card up in around 5min.
As I said, I'm no expert, but I also found this on the dji forum:-It also depends on the CODEC and the recorded frame rate. 24fps will be much smaller than 60fps.
Difficult to get your head round certainly but as far as I can see, there's still no indicator that the OP's problem is running out of card space - or why it only shows the recording as being 720p.I took that number from a different specific camera, not taking in to account the actual P4 specs. As below:

MOV and MP4's use different codecs, and as you as well said, I am no expert either, I was primarily pointing out file size differences, because at the time of that post I did not have information on the card that was used. Now my head hurts........![]()
I have set up my P4P to film in 4K but when I put the card in my computer to edit it shows as 720. What am I doing wrong?
Also I only get about 5,5 mins per clip and then filming stops. How can I film longer clips?
Kind regards
Chris
I tend to agree, but i'm tired of running numbers to do estimated calculations. A mathematician I am not. As far as the 720p goes, the only thing I can think of is that whatever editing software the op is using, defaults to that and converts it upon import. My binary math is not what it once was.but as far as I can see, there's still no indicator that the OP's problem is running out of card space - or why it only shows the recording as being 720p.
