You are certainly right...but 'right-ish.'
I have faithfully upgraded everything on my mavic and phantom, whenever asked.
And yes...reading the instructions is the right thing to do.
But the upgrades have become rather commonplace. Like upgrading apps on your phone/tablet. 99% are for 'bug...
Well thank goodness it worked on the one.
With android it is a toss up. Nothing wrong with android, but the various versions, on top of the mods by the individual phone manufacturers.... considering I fly mine a lot over water, I stick with one device, one cable, one...everything. Paranoid....
Holy effing ess.
The RC had delinked with the update. I found the 'link' button on the side - never knew it was there!
It appears to have worked.
Thank you for pushing me in the right direction.
Not sure if you are still on the forum, but wanted to let you know that I got myself a Mavic, since I travel a lot.
It is officially named, 'Beaker.'
Promise kept!
:)
Whoa...yes. I remember it coming back from a distance...thinking, 'that's odd...seems to be taking a while.' Then I look at the screen, 'horizontal airspeed, 5mph'. Definately an 'oh ****' moment. I did the same, and did a zig zag pattern.
I flew once where the ground windspeed was fine, but at around 150' it was at around 28mph, with gusts higher. Barely made it home. Hence, I use this app every time. No idea where the various weather apps get their wind speed. This one identifies each source.
