I believe the "intent" at the time the photo was take would come into play. For example, I took several photos of a friends farm a few days ago. This friend did not ask for the photo's to be taken nor did he even know they had been taken until I sent them to him. I just thought he might enjoy...

If you get impatient and decide to attempt a drone/drone rescue PLEASE install a release mechanism to the bottom of the rescuer and attach your tether to it. That way if you do accidentally "hook" something else you can drop the tether and fly away. Just a suggestion.

The reason he didn’t “fly away” could be that he was not flying VLOS and didn’t know the chopper was coming for him. If the competition was a private/closed set event then the drone had no business there.

This may be true for you and the pictures you take but,,,,,,,,,,,,,, What about the real time view during flight. I'd like to have a closer view from further away at times for various reasons.
