Battery voltage doesn't give you a true indication of how much battery is remaining because it varies with how much of a load (amperage) is being placed on the battery. For example fast forward flight or climbing uses more amperage than hovering so the battery voltage would vary at any given amp...
I easily get 2 miles plus range with full control and video on my stock P3. I was lucky to get 2600 feet with the Vision 2 Plus and spent another $200 for a Stage 2 antenna which still only gave me up to 7000 feet. The camera is much better on the P3 (I have the Advanced). The only thing I miss...
I would not do the discharge to 8% every 20 cycles. I believe this was in the P2V+ manual but it is not in the P3 manual. Doing so will reduce the lifespan of your battery. Lipo batteries should not be discharged below 30% if you want them to last. Also they should be charged at 1C and stored at...
My battery shows 4.30 volts per cell for a total voltage of 17.20 volts after being charged. Lipos should normally not be charged above 4.2 volts per cell for extended battery life. The charge controller is internal to the battery - the power supply just puts out a constant 17.6vdc. Is this...
Did the same. Made custom connectors using Anderson connectors and use my Icharger to charge the P 3 battery. You can charge at up to 6 amps which is much faster than the stock charger. Did the same on my P2V+ batteries with no issues.
I easily got to 7200 ft (2.2km) on an open field and 400' altitude before getting the weak RC signal warning but did not lose it. Full FPV all the way. Also got over 5000 feet in a populated area. All stock setup with antennas up and in a slight "V"
Phantom Vision Plus V2 for sale. Selling because I'm going back to RC Heli's. Transmitter has FPVLR Stage 2 antenna upgrade installed and GPS shielding mod has been done on the Phantom. I have been over 6000 ft range with this installation and still had good control signal and video feed...
The best app for the V2plus by far. Only thing missing is Groundstation IMHO. I do use it with the DJI G/S but it would be nice to not have to go back and forth between the 2 apps. Keep up the good work!
