In case anyone is interested, I am going to be selling my Phantom 3 standard setup for parts. I have the Drone, controller, lanyard, padded carrying case, extra props and extra battery. Hit me up if you are interested.
So far I've had it less than a week and because I've been so busy I've only been able to take it out a couple times. But the little bit I have been able to fly it I am completely amazed with how smooth, steady and fluid it flies. I love it!
Dear fellow Phantom Pilots, it's been a fun ride but with a heavy heart I must bid a fond farewell. My Phantom 3 went haywire for the last time this past weekend and I just can't see fit to mess with DJI again in hopes of making a mediocre drone flyable again. It's been an up-and-down ride with...
Just figured it out - the left front motor is not wanting to do come on with the other three upon takeoff. It spits and sputters and tries but it must have got messed up in the crash.
Yesterday I had the bird out (calibrated compass first) and everything started out fine then it started doing weird flips mid-flight so I brought it back and before I could get it landed it just started freaking out. Before I could get it landed it crashed and knocked the gimbal loose - nothing...
Does anyone know off the top of their head what size torx screws are on the back of the camera on a p3s? My SD card is stuck down inside.
Don't ask.
Lol
:/
The key word is guidelines.
If you will look at a topical map, the terrain pretty much prevents any air traffic in the area. Up in the middle of a mountain range.
When you talk about setting up and flying a "mission", are you referring to waypoints only, or any autonomous function carried out by the drone? I wasn't flying waypoints, rather doing a panorama. Not sure if it makes a difference or not in terms of what you were trying to prove or disprove.
I did find the drone, and the airspace rules where I was flying are class g, which are different as you may know. As previously stated, VLOS wasn't a problem until I lost control, then started to panic when I couldn't regain control.
Bsartist is correct. I was using litchi, and always have it set to "return to home", but for whatever reason it was on "hover" in this instance, which is beside the point as we were able to recover the drone after it was "lost". The issue now is figuring out why the two won't connect.
The PS3 has a single antenna and I keep it perpendicular to the craft during flight to maintain optimum signal. As I stated previously, even if that was the reason for signal loss, how would you explain the subsequent inability of the RC and AC to link up, even when sitting next to each other?
