Yes, that is correct. It uses barometric pressure to determine height relative to the Home takeoff position. If the drone flies over a valley the barometric pressure shouldn't change so it thinks it is at the same height AGL.

I get about 1800 to 2200 feet with the Phantom 3 Standard. When I want more distance, I use the app Litchi and set up a Waypoint mission. Even when communications is lost the misson is completed.

On the Mavic Mini, the Controller charges the phone when Connected. It probably also works that way for the Mini SE.

In Mission Hub, I assumed the setting of RTH is not RTH on loss of signal, but RTH after last Waypoint is executed. Is that not the case? That is what I have observed. Is there another setting?

I believe it is standard on any Litchi Mission that the Drone completes the Waypoints. That's the way it works on all of my missions. You can configure what the Drone should do however when it hits the last Waypoint - RTH, Land, etc.
