I'm just referring to the battery that says it requires an update. Or, if the Phantom came with firmware 1.4, would the battery be the same and I should leave it alone?

Thanks for the reply. If I put a copy of 1.4 on the SD card, will it update the battery without doing anything to the Phantom?

Yes, it was my first phantom and I updated everything to the newest firmware. Not sure if that was a mistake or not, that's why I am being a little more cautious this time.

I understand your thinking, but my last Phantom had a serious malfunction in the battery that caused the crash. Don't know whether that was firmware related, just a little nervous.

Yes, I was using the most recent DJI Go app and updated the firmware on the battery and Phantom the day I recieved them. Both were on current firmware versions.

I don't see anything as far as battery errors listed. Where the flight ends is where if fell from the sky.

Yeah, it's funny that you mention that because I am pretty **** when it comes to that. If it doesn't seem to click right, I will remove and re-insert. It was absolutely pushed in all the way.
