Thanks for the guide. Just did the steps suggested and I have a "Gimbal Joint Angle Sensor Initialization Error" appearing now. Did you get this after downgrading the firmware? Is there any way to recitify this?

I updated the controller firmware after I did the drone initially. Do you think it it linked to the gimbal issue and i should re-pair both?

Hi, Recently flew test flight with new latest firmware and soon after launch the gimbal decided to drop then re-boot mid air. It did this several times on different batteries. The P4 flew very responsive but video cutting out and gimbal re-boot not good at all. Came back and tried to downgrade...

Any advice as to which brand of ND Filters is best for the P4? I am based in the UK and was wondering should I buy the official DJI ND4 + ND8 as a starter or is it probable that I would require a wider range of filters? Thanks for any advice

Mine did exactly this. Sent it back to dji and the gimbal was replaced but no further information provided on what they found and the reason it happened....

In addition to the gimbal issue my P4 had also developed 2 stress cracks on an arm so DJI replaced my P4 and gimbal.

It may be just a glitch but I am sending mine back. Just cant risk loosing it or it crashing.

Ye I know what you mean. Dji support online chat did suggest doing a factory reset aswell and re installing the firmware on the battery and craft. I have done this but will probably end up sending mine back if they reccommend that. Just not worth the risk of loosing it.

Also, are you doing a compass calibration before flying this was suggested to me as it may effect the gimbal. Yes would be intetesting to get DJI's reason. I have also sent a query in to them. I was not sure if it had any link to the recent firware upgrade..
