There are two ports on the lower left side of the Black Pearl Monitor. The bottom port will accept the charging cable that comes with the monitor. There is a red/green LED on the left of the power button that is red when charging and changes to green when charging is complete.
Thanks for your attention to the thread. I will indeed check out the forum you mentioned, but thought that since this was an FPV problem, the FPV forum would be the appropriate place. Thank you again for your attention to the thread.
OK, 87 views and no interest. Well as usual, I couldn't rest until I fixed it, so after some research on the Black Pearl and how to use the menu, I found the video protocol set to PAL and changed it to NTSC. Now it works fine, clear pic, but it's all black and white instead of color. Don't...
Hey guys, haven't been on here in AGES, but getting ready to fly some more and need some help. As you can see in my sig, I have a Black Pearl video monitor which has always worked perfectly. I had a water crash years ago and after everything dried out, the entire system ran like a charm, to my...
Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the encouragement and good wishes, along with some sound advice. I did a test flight and even though the battery was a full 16.8v, it went to 14.2 or so almost immediately. So it will take a charge, but won't hold it. With that in mind, I had no choice but to pull...
Hey Fox, thanks for the advice on the battery. I couldn't wait to fire up the drone after 3+ days of drying out. So I turned on the transmitter, then the Black Pearl and got snow, as expected. Then connected the fully charged battery to the drone. I got my init flashes from the LED, then got...
Hey Y'all, thanks for your replies. It's good to see this helped someone and that someone else could relate to the helpless feeling that comes at panic time.
Hey Guys,
First post here in a looooooong time. That's because I haven't flown in a long time. But today was an unusually warm day for the end of December, so I decided to charge everything up and go for it. It had been so long in fact, that it took four attempts to get the flight battery...
Hey J,
I just saw your post, so that's why the delay in responding. Yes, I finished the build and the FPV gear. I went with the Turnigy Multistar 8000 mAh battery. I'm getting plenty of flight time, actually so much that my attention span is really taxed near the end. It's a lot of stress...
Hey Hollywood, I built a DJI F550, but used all DJI parts. So I'm not sure what your motor 3 problem is, unless it's binding mechanically. I'm not familiar with any of the components you listed, so probably can't help much. I have a thread on the F550 build on Other DJI Drones forum with over...
Hey Chris, what state are you in? I have a stand alone policy with State Farm for my drone, while my auto and home insurance is with Allstate. They didn't make any remarks about requiring an existing policy with them. It is $60 a year and covers the DJI F550 for 100% of replacement cost with...
Oh yeah, State Farm is the HEAT for drone insurance. Just renewed my second year. I don't even worry about a tracker now, and no subscription to pay either. Congrats, Kromar, and yes, it will be a calmer, gentler flight experience now...
Hey Martin, something is up with not getting more than ninety degrees in manual. Did you check any of my threads on aerobatics in manual? Also throttle is extremely important in manual for rolls and loops. It vectors the thrust in the proper direction so that you don't have to have extreme...
Hey Martin, haven't heard from you in a while. I built my F550 with the Naza M V2 as well. I did both barrel rolls and loops with my P1.1.1, but haven't tried yet with the F550. There are a bunch of threads on aerial acrobatics on my profile page. These will all be using the P1.1.1, but it's...
Thanks J, I miss the guys here when I'm not on regularly.
??? You stated you returned it when your computer "could" view the videos. Did you mean "could not" view ??? What kind of computer? What file extension on the videos?
The seventh channel on the DT7/DR16 should support any function...
