I have a phantom 4 , and I had a similar problem. I rebound the remote to the phantom and this problem cleared up. Maybe you can try this ,, maybe it works.

I have never been asked to upgrade my batteries on any of my drones . When I do updates for my drones and remotes am I updating my batteries?

I can hear my fan , also in the past I had used a older model iPhone and it would get very hot and I would have a lot of freezes and the app did shut down on me . I got a better iPhone and the problem got a lot better. Phone still gets hot but a lot less problems.

I have a phantom pro v2 also and noticed on all 3 batteries that on the side of the batteries cases are stress cracks around the small screws area, mine are only 1 year old with about 40 flights on each. I was wondering if this was the reason why some of the drones I see on hear have stress...

I’ve never had mine break, makes me wonder if I should get a spare
