Well, you just disproved my theory with this post. I honestly didn't think anyone would even consider buying a Phantom 4 (unless the price were cut in half or more) now that they've seen the future with Mavic.

I really can't imagine DJI continuing the Phantom line now that Mavic is out. If there is a Phantom 5, I'll be very surprised. I think the P4 is the last iteration of the Phantom.

I think you're exactly right. The Phantom series is officially cooked now that Mavic is on the scene. The Mavic is a superset of everything the Phantom has to offer plus immeasurably more given it's size, speed, portability, etc.

I find it nearly impossible to believe that the camera on the Mavic is inferior to the one on the P4. That just doesn't make any sense. If anything, I would fully expect it to be better.

Just my opinion, but I highly doubt the P4 would be significantly more stable in high winds -- maybe a little, but certainly not enough to sway a buying decision. To me, the Mavic just completely replaced the Phantom as the DJI consumer drone. Frankly, I'd rather have the Mavic than an Inspire.
