Seems like you have a voltmeter. You can check each cell voltage from the balance connector to see if one of the cells is indeed bad. Could also be a charger issue.

That's the way I read it also. Only required after updating firmware. However since most of our FC-40's came with current firmware, we may never need the file. I have downloaded to archive though.

Quite sure the binding process will be just one receiver (phantom) at a time. If it didn't you could never have multiple folks with Phantoms in the same area.
