Indeed. It makes a difference. Running 2 DJI batteries is not an issue but I'd get nervous on the 3rd.

I took the gimbal off and connected to a fully functional p3p and same result which takes the wire issue off the table. Narrowing things down, it has power initially but won't transmit video to the RC.

My 6+ battery gets smoked by the DJI APP. IOS 9 will also now tell you what apps are using battery and DJI is the biggest consumer.

Update on this. Just flew it. Flight seems fine. Gimbal boots up and runs through articulations but doesn't send video. Looks like I've got some troubleshooting to do. I'm pretty amazed it came back to life after salt water.
