Yes. Put one together last night. Took about 10 minutes - doubled my LOS range.

Agree - like pushing the boundaries. Was having some RC signal issue. Assembled a Windsurfer Wi-Fi antenna reflector and doubled my range for pennies. There's a lot of interference in my area, and the directional antenna helps cut through the crap and retain control of the bird.

I've experienced the same problem. Worked much better out of the box, before any firmware upgrades were made. Not much fun to play with anymore.

My opinion - if you can safely fly it without use of GPS and auto modes you've figured it out.

Got my P3S in Dec 16. About a half dozen flights before first firmware upgrade. Before the firmware update a week later, never experienced weak signal or lagging video. Now with latest firmware (Feb 17), get the warnings all the time. I live in a rural areas, do not suspect wifi...
