I can confirm with you IT IS THE IPAD MINI 2! I have same problem with camera not connecting when DJI app is open in iPad mini 2. I contacted DJI and they said I need to do a ipad restore through iTunes for it to work... Well it worked for one time maybe, the next time when connected to iPad...

To test the height range... In a perfect weather day here in Miami, I lunched my Phantom 4 up in the sky directly above me, and set the max height to 500m in the DJI Go app. With antenna pointing straight up according to DJI manual when flying P4 directly above... I can only get to about 300m...

The sensors doesn't work that good, smaller space is even harder. Aircraft drifts badly especially if you have magnetic interference around indoors. I damaged one propeller after the aircraft drifted and hit my tv stand... It made a huge scratch on hardened glass panel on my tv stand.. So fly...
