Just to be clear, the beeping never stops. What happens is that the PC screen says to reboot the device once the firmware upgrade is complete, but the beeping still continues until you restart. Of course if the firmware fails, the beeping also continues.....but just wanted to make sure forum...

I am highly concerned with all of this IMU recalibration. Even DJI reps are saying calibrate the IMU again after a firmware update. I do not understand the need for this. You can tell if the IMU has gone "out" of range very simply by going to the appropriate screen in the DJI assistant software...

I agree, it does sound like it has gone back to reporting GPS status. If the calibration failed, I believe it will go Red-Yellow-Red-Yellow. If it is showing Red/Green flashes, then that's the GPS status. An easy way of testing this, is turn on the Phantom and leave it until it gets a GPS...

Could you describe this IMU issue more? Are you talking about IMU calibration issues that are temp related, or actual flying? In the DJI assistant software the mod value for my gyroscope is 0.2 and the mod for accelerometer is exactly 1.00, so I am leaving any IMU calibration alone as there...

The serial number on my UK unit, starts 646 which is a new number range and has the correct ESCs but I didn't buy from firstpersonview. I am still yet to find anyone else with a 646 serial number, so if firstpersonview really have fresh stock, it will be interesting what serial number yours has...

This is not a universal problem though. I took the plunge and upgraded, and everything is fine for several flights. You must have the camera at version 1.30g if you don't already.
