Well, I stand corrected. However, FAA guidance is most certainly visual los. Which is what the original guy was talking about. He didn't put 'visual' but we all knew what the guy meant...some people are just really picky I suppose. :)

bbfpv hit it on the head. The P3A is on a different level than this new model. He used it correctly. And the definition from Merriam-Webster you used does say something about maintaining a visual. "a line from an observer's eye to a distant point". LOS in regards to FAA recommendations is...

The highest peak in PA is like 3200 feet asl and you're calling people flatlanders?....rofl.
