Yes, CSC is a no no while landing, it will attempt to descend and spin at the same time for a second or two before shutting down, just long enough to flip. Use left stick only to land. Don't ask me how I know :)

You connect it to the balance plug.

I suspect he's using plates installed inside the housing, between the motor and the inside of the shell. I could be wrong :)

I would guess you could use the phone for GPS and Goggles out of the HDMI port for viewing FPV.

How about a big RED recessed panic button that makes a loud siren sound with a one second delay placed on the center of the controller to stop the props asap if necessary in an emergency. No CSC. Problem solved.
