My 9.7” iPad Cellular worked fine with P4PV2 and iPhone X was good with M2P. It’s a year old, so fairly new, but Go 4 gets along with it. Haven’t tried DroneDeploy or Litchi yet.

I do this with P4PV2 and DJI Go 4 for modeling. You can hit it manually or use the interval feature if your model has it.

I’ve had it let me unlock the geofence in restricted airspace but I’m not sure of the mechanism. I did have authorization from FAA but I don’t know how DJI Go 4 would have known that.

California has been doing this. There is virtually no place to fly in the Bay Area unless it’s a work flight. From prior flight training, I don’t think it’s enforceable, but nobody wants to spend the time or money to find out.
