Wow that sounds painful and certainly not how it should be, I think DJI is having some big issues with the P4P gimbals, mine had to go back today for a faulty gimbal and doing RTH sideways!

Ive decided to send it back - a couple times the gimbal has lost control, whether related or not I don't think my heart can take much of this.. Here's a wee video of it flying back sideways just for info.

It was too far out to see, I cancelled RTH and brought it back manually when I noticed on the iPhone display that it was coming back sideways. Im guessing your thinking maybe it was only the gimbal that was sideways - Its possible but when I cancelled RTH and brought it back the gimbal didn't...

Hi all, I flew my P4P out a good distance, instead of flying it back manually I hit RTH and let it come back itself, strange thing though on my iPhone display I could visually see it was actually flying back sideways. Its odd and not something I'm happy about as the obstacle sending won't work...

The first time my p4p battery charged it took 3-4 hours.

From my experience that's a bit longer than normal but in general the long delay at the end is the battery cells balancing, it can take quite a while to fully charge from an auto discharge. If you got fed up and disconnected it from charging early you can ruin the battery. Sent from my iPhone...

Absolutely thats a concern as well :grinning:, although personally i've done numerous flights and my controller is still showing 4 led's.

I'm happy to have it charging my iPhone to be honest, at least the iPhone won't die when I'm 2 miles away and then can't see where it's at. Sent from my iPhone using PhantomPilots

Mine didn't sound too great when I got it, sounded like something rubbing against an in internal fan, I proceeded to firmware update everything and it was fine - keeping an eye on it. Sent from my iPhone using PhantomPilots

I'll definitely be going for the P4P with no display then, I'm not going to buy from DJI direct as they're a bunch of sods, will need to wait for amazon or Apple to start stocking them I guess (UK) Sent from my iPhone using PhantomPilots
