Lucky me! 2 months later, I received a message from the lost&found office. My P4 is back! And in perfect shape. I checked the video footage and still can't figure out what the heck happened, it flew almost the whole path perfectly, although the alitude was super low, it nearly crashed into stuff...

Here's all that could be retrieved from litchi: Airdata UAV - Flight Data Analysis for Drones Makes absolutely no sense to me, I've flown much larger distances in the same area without disconnects. Everything appeared to work perfectly fine until it suddenly vanished and was never seen again...

maybe i could increase the altitude by 10 meters for all points and ask a friend to fly the path again tomorrow, to check in the footage if there is something. but the risk is he might lose his drone as well :/ and its such a heavily populated area, if it came down anywhere I am sure someone...

I lost my precious P4 today... I always took good care of it, it didn't have a scratch... and now it just left and never returned :( All I have is the flight mission in litchi --> Mission Hub - Litchi connection to the RC was lost already at around waypoint 2, so I have no clue where exactly it...

I thought DJI Go uses the google maps API, so why can't it access the offline maps? Pokemon Go can do that. Someone please tell DJI to add this feature, even if I had a tablet with mobile internet I would want to turn it off to reduce signal interference, so offline maps are really a must have.

Mini2 all the way. Faster process or RAM? For what? DJI Go or litchi don't need more, and you shouldn't use the ipad for anythinge else anyways. So the only practical difference is you get a slightly less reflective display for 150$ more. outside in the bright sun every display is crappy, so...

P4 props are designed to break easily anyways (maybe to prevent moror dmg?), so no risk of losing fingers. I wouldn't handcatch it with carbon props.

Hey theres an old video of a P3 used to heat up the coal of a bbq grill. Do you think its dangerous to use the P4 for this? Is there a warning in the app if something is overheating?

that sucks... happened to me also a few times that I lost control and it flew in random directions, but I was always lucky to get control back. I dont know if the update changed the amount of video data transmitted, but if so it might make the crappy wifi connection even more unstable.
