I have actually started to have the same issue....I am not sure if it is at 8ft or not but after upgrading (I assume that is the problem) it is not holding altitude. After a few minutes it clears up.

Now can we get them to give better support to Mac users who do not have windows (nor want windows) installed on their machines????

Try looking in these areas. I would start with the green area (not knowing the winds from 1.2k down) plus you should not get an extreme amount of drift once the motors shut off but it sounds like it still had some power and was in FS so should have been making a little headway towards you...

I was just thinking about this earlier! I was thinking about keeping it close but putting some electrical tape over the lights......would only have the lights in the back about 1/2 way covered. If it was not so windy I was going to try it.
