Go with 6.0.1 I have found that 7+ crashes often as well. I recently downgraded to 6.0.1 and did several test flights and have not had the app crash yet.

Took me a while to find a proper combo but now that I have its a whole new world. Excited for it because this was a huge drawback for me the first time I ever went out in proper daylight.

I use the anti glare in conjunction with a sunshade. If you click the info card about halfway into my video it'll link you to my tablet sunshade combo if you'd like to check it out. Both are most definitely needed!

I would agree on everything except upgrading to nougat, nougat runs dji go flawlessly!

Just close your apps before you fly, recommended for most tablets. If you're having any video lag issues try restarting the app completely as well as the controller and see if that helps. If it persists try reinstalling the app.

The shade I purchased has an open bottom which allows super simple access to touch anywhere on the screen without restriction. The iPad mastershade or the ultrashade would work best if that's the device you're using.

Honestly the worst time of day is noon. All other hours my coverage is great. When the sun does hit the screen, the screen protector gets rid of that harsh sharp sun reflection. All paired up with the brightest android tablet set to max, I really have no problems in direct sun with this setup.

Nexus 7 2013

I have video caching disabled on the nexus 7 2013 because I only have 16gb version. But I supposed it has the power to hold onto a couple of gigs of video if needed. But like you said why stress it? I hardly ever use it. Glad you've found lineage to work successfully for you!
