Updated P3S to 1.9.2. Reapplied Icarus and AC would not talk. Then did Factory Reset on Icarus, rebooted. Finally applied 27dbm to boyh RC and AC, all working perfectly. So lesson is,, after firmware update I need to factory reset Icarus then reapply settings.

No, I bought another controller (used) for $35aud and use it. I still use the old controller occasionally as it has Argtek installed. It lasts about 3 to 4 days before it goes flat.

I run 27dbm for both Tx and A/C It is adjustable. I got just over 1500M with full video on the stock antenna before I chickened out and did an RTH.

You have to adjust the dBm power output for both transmitter and aircraft. It is a slide style selection. But, it does have a simple Factory Reset switch for when you get home. Have a look at the screen shots on the Google Play store.

Litchi is working well with my P3S. All features work, but tracking is a bit hit and miss.

I use the Icarus App from the Google Play store and achieved 1.5km distance using the standard (unmodified) antenna.

I agree wifi interference causes range issues. I have had times when using DJI Go my range was lower than normal, so I change apps to Litchi and the range increased. But I have also had times when Litchi was running and range was low, so changed to DJI Go. My only theory to the above is...

DJI controls the pricing, not the retailer. If a retailer offers a discount less than DJI has set, they lose their distribution. I purchased mine 12 months ago for $629aud from Banggood.com when everyone else was $849aud. Within a month Banggood.com lost their distribution and can no longer sell.

I use CPL and ND filters. I find it best to calibrate the gimbal every time I change or remove filters. Reason for this is I find the gimbal does a weird shake if I don't.
