Agreeing to fly now, a log is kept of my flight. That's a ridiculous invasion of privacy when I need to fly indoors, but have a GPS signal, and still need to "report to big brother" that I have permission.

So far, that's the plan, but I'm worried it will not fly at all, and not give me the option of "approving" the flight.

It's active in ATTI? I did not think it was. The manual seems quite vague about this.

All of my drones before this P4 were using GoPro cameras. With those, I just did not worry about a lens cap because when not flying, it was in the case. I'm going to treat this P4 the same - not really worried about capping the lens.

Unless you're shipping it, or the case is going to be thrown around, don't bother putting it back on. The gimbal can handle the everyday bumping around. IMO. I have been using gimbals since the P1, before there were any locks.

Digital zoom is NOT crap. It was in the days of shooting SD, but if you are shooting in 4k, and delivering a final product in 1080, it is awesome.
