Well this is truly upsetting. Thanks for the update, you may have saved me from a lot of anger and expense. As much as I love traveling to MX, I have to agree that its one of the most corrupt locations in the world.

Any customs issues in Mexico with your quad? We travel to Cancun Mexico nearly once a year but have never brought my phantom. Thinking about purchasing an AIR to take there (only due to its compact size). Any recommendations?

Never ever use your debit card on the internet. Only credit. If a scammer gets your account information, your bank account can be drained! No protection on your checking or savings accounts. Credit cards are protected and you can dispute charges.
