Hi There...from Minnesota...I say get your Drone and follow the rules. There will be jobs that are outside the legal limints of an airport, so go and photograph those real estate assignments and become the "go to guy" for aerial photography. It's very lucrative. Happy and safe flying.

Macro man....I did what you said to do. I got a winter jacket and a summer vest and put on them the lettering in red that said "FAA Licensed Commercial Drone Operator". When I say your first post about doing this my was being made. Thanks for verification that this was a great ides.

And Marco Polo has to (should) take off the "dog" icon and put a drone icon in it's software...it would feel better for those of us with a drone and not a dog.

I just bought a Marco Polo after some research. I think all is good. My only suggestion to the Marco Polo people is to have an easier on/off switch for the receiver that goes on the drone.

The person operating the drone was truly not aware of or not complying with the rules set by the FAA. It reads "500 feet from non-participating people and from buildings". It's just that simple. I'm sure we will hear about what the FAA is going to give that operator as a fine when they find him...

DJI should revamp their procedures of new firmware updates...more announcements and for SURE make the actual upgrading of the firmware by all of us a MUCH easier process. Make it happen with single clicks of the mouse.
