70% after three hours? It sounds like there is some charging going on, but not enough to keep up during use. I suspect that heat generated during use may be limiting the charge rate. Battery charge systems usually limit charge rate based on temperature.

Not fearful at all. We just need to understand the risks before someone takes away our ability to fly at all due to an accident from ignorance. I'd rather educate then have governments take it away by force of law.

Fixed wing will not fall near as fast. The wings provide lift. If motor fails and you still have control you can glide in. Even an uncontrolled spin or flat spin with a fixed wing will not fall very fast compared to a multi rotor. Because the rotor blades are so small, they don't provide a lot...

If so, that would explain why some say the view is better on HDMI, as it appears there's a huge amount of compression on USB, giving a blocky view. Will be testing that shortly.

Just got mine this weekend. Yes, I found the image very compressed (blocky) via USB. I have ordered an adapter so I can try it via HDMI. One thing I haven't tried is to increase the video data rate to improve. I'll do some experiments to see what can be done to reduce the compression, as I'm not...

I am finding that the new firmware works fine for me, and even straightened out the horizon. My biggest issue was just getting the update completed on the RC. All is good now.

I often see Turkey vultures circling close to my drone. They are not attacking it, but must be curious. They are very large birds. Glad they aren't aggressive in the air.

Actual motor and ESC failures are extremely rare on these units, and usually happen right away (defect) rather then after long use. I suspect the MTBF is far longer than the expected life of the craft. These are excellent motors. I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Motor and ESC failures are...

I agree, it's too granular to be worth the effort. If you really want F2.8, you could always use the ND4 and raise the ISO to 200. I doubt many could see any noticeable difference between ISO 100 and 200 on this sensor.
