I wonder if your location is within the warning zone. Check the manual for Flight Zone restrictions near airports.

Very irresponsible on the max height test. Rural area or not, exceeding 400ft altitude puts you into the potential airspace of small aircraft.

I have the original compass that came with the P2V. I have also considered trying an upgrade to the new "anti-static" compass. I believe some P2V users have successfully upgraded but others have reported that the compass cable is not long enough (original units had compass cable plug into GPS...

I am concerned that if the RPG can cause enough interference for the compass calibration to fail, could it also interfere with the compass during regular flight. I really wish the Rotorpixel would respond to my emails and give some type of assistance.

I sent an email to Keri at Rotorpixel asking if he could test one of the early model (large motor) gimbals with the 3.12 or 3.14 firmware version. So far no response, but I will report back here if I get a response.

I have had compass calibration issues since updating to firmware v3.12. The compass calibration fails to complete successfully unless I first unplug the Rotorpixel gimbal. It seems that the newest firmware is more sensitive and the RP gimbal is causing interference.
