    Is there any chance that you have the wrong remote? What is the model number of the remote? See if you can find another P4 owner in your area, and try to link his remote to your P4 and vice-versa, as Capt KO suggested.

    P4 Firmware firmware update stuck at 99% and cant restore factory defaults failed but at 0%

    I've had the same issue in the past. Sometimes it works right away, sometimes after 2 or 3 tries. I even think I remember once it was actually complete, but didn't "finalize" to 100%, then it was fine on the next attempt.
