Thanks for the input I am going to try 9dbi omni antenna on rc from amazon hope that my range improves. I have used windsurfer to get 1300m in rural and wide open setting just find it too directional.

2nd note have the dji go up to date firmware and also installed magic 5.0 to fly my bird in my front yard after I get it above hydo and trees seems to operate fine can fly around the block and use the rth but usually bring it back and hand catch due to snow on the ground

No issues with getting the bird to fly just concerned that most of the time it's quite cold so I fly and bring back in to the warmth of the house hope that I dont end up wiyh moisture issues

Hi like u iam a new flyer and found that u should back up ur phone when using the drone with one of thos fast chargers that u can get pretty cheap these days.i find that signal reception is better with the back up connected to the phone than with out
