The board we have is not really a SimpleBGC board, instead it is a slightly modified replica (not to say a cheap knock off), therefore there is always room for a buggy interaction between the SimpleBGC software and the board the Taco gimbal has, I believe this is what sometimes disables the tilt...
Lts start from the basics, check and Double check that:
1- The Phantom is off and battery out of the housing
2- Gimbal plug is firmly plugged in
3 - Camera plug is firmly plugged in
4 - Tilt cable is connected properly, check this again and again and make sure its making contact
Did this fix it?
When I did the video I had the older TACO camera shell, if you have the new one will not work because the sensor is placed differently you will need to go in to the simpleBGC and change the Axis values to Z and -Y, the tweaks and tips I offer on the video also apply to this new shell, no changes...
Looks like your Y / Z settings are messed up. Do you have the gimbal new V3 cameral holder? If so make sure on the first tab go the BGC GUI you have selected "Z" and "-Y"
Re: New Plug-N-Play 3DPower Gimbal (aka Taco Supreme)
That is sing of advance calibration needed. Do an advance calibration on that gimbal and should correct your issue.
Re: New Plug-N-Play 3DPower Gimbal (aka Taco Supreme)
I programmed that profile myself. Has 3 changes.
1 - Increased "D". Gave it more balance in vibrating conditions.
2- Decreased Motor power. Motors are both a little overpowered so on certain positions the Motors vibrate a bit, that is gone...
Re: New Plug-N-Play 3DPower Gimbal (aka Taco Supreme)
Agreed, but not many choices out there. This gimbal works really good, needs a couple of tweaks but that is fine with me, it is a hobby I do not mind the tweaks.
Not sure why they do not include the new shell, I was hoping for it but no.
Re: New Plug-N-Play 3DPower Gimbal (aka Taco Supreme)
Received my Taco-Supreme today:
The expedited shipping for $20 is a must, I got it in 3 days, the new version really is plug and play, it took my 5minutes (yes 5 minutes) to get it going. Although my version did not include the new shell...
