My position was if your current firmware was "acceptable" you don't need to update. This statement implies you should update if it is NOT acceptable, and another version improves that. This is where you should say," ok, I see your point," unless of coarse you still don't understand.

If a car is recalled because of a safety issue, it didn't work as advertised and the manufacturer is obligated to make it right. But as said, DJI won't take action without some bullet proof fine print to back it up.

My DJI go app just updated this morning all by itself. I don't see a setting anywhere to prevent this either. Apparently, I am now on the hook to update the firmware when it is released, or fpv will be disabled. So correct me if I'm wrong, but it feels like my choice in the matter is gone.

Some drones (matrix 200) are made for other jobs like search and rescue, Powerline inspection, etc. These activities demand a reliable long range signal. Just because enthusiasts like us can't fly out of sight, doen't mean that a professional line inspector couldn't.

Not sure if others experience this, but my P4Ps 4K video has such bad Moire that I'm embarrassed to show the footage to people. After all, it's an expensive drone. I figure that I either have a unique issue with my particular model, or it's a generic design problem.

I think we basically agree. It's too bad DJI doesn't tell more about their batteries.
